Gene Sokolov, Ph.D., President and CEO

Dr. Gene Sokolov has extensive experience in building complex internet systems. At the Universities he worked on computer systems for analysis of experimental data, including X-Ray scattering data at the NSLS, Brookhaven National Laboratory. After graduation in 1996 he developed a revolutionary for that time speech- recognition educational software. Starting 1998 he joined a Foreign Exchange Commission Merchant, were he worked as a CIO. Later he co-started and headed an offshore software development company. Since 2005 he is the CEO of Sloud Inc.

Dr. Sokolov holds a Ph.D. from Stony Brook University, in New York and an M.S. from Moscow State University, in Russia.

Dr. Sokolov has multiple scientific publications.

Valery Lobarev, CTO

Valery Lobarev has extensive experience in research and development of complex signal processing systems. Mr. Lobarev gradualted from Kiev State University, one of the premier Universities in the former USSR, with an M.S. degree in Quantum Radiophysics and Electronics.

In 1982-1984 he worked as a researcher at the Department of General and Theoretical Physics of Kiev Polytechnic Institute developing novel methods of optical and electronic data storage in thin magnetic films.

Starting 1985 Mr. Lobarev continued research in Biophysics, in the field of microwave resonance diagnostics and therapy at Kiev State University. Later he is the head of laboratory at the Kiev Institute of Physics of the Alive. The laboratory developed microwave generators and other equipment for for medical diagnostics and treatment.

Since 1994 Mr. Lobarev is studying the physics of psychoacoustics and perception of music, developing mathematical models and algorithms for recognition and search in multimedia databases based on audio and musical content. In 2005 he joined Sloud Inc.
